Azimut Benetti ‘Imagination’ Yacht

Imagination has been the first 47m of all aluminium semi-displacement yachts
built by Azimut Benetti, with exterior styling by Stefano Natucci. It was one of ourlargest scale engineering projects and a real challenge that required a fine tuning of the teams involved and engineering tasks, achieved with the use of Siemens NX that enabled us to suit the workflow reducing errors and lead times at the shipyard.
While we started to dive in VR project presentations, we decided to bring this yacht to life presenting it as an immersive experience during China’s International Boat Show 2017 in Shanghai.

THE CHALLENGE
Siemens NX enabled us to perfectly organize the workflow reducing errors and lead times at the shipyard: 750 details engineered, 2034 components tuned and a total of 970 hours spent on the engineering.
